During her degree at the University of Brighton Annabet discovered a need to make functional work. She has always found kitchen equipment crockery pots, pans, cutlery, whisks, mixers and mincers inspirational. She now uses silver to make a variety of personal utensils to explore different ways of eating, making tools to complete tasks. Jewellery allows her to explore her ideas visually.
In 2003 Annabet completed a residency in Australia, which enabled her to work on techniques such as torched fired enamelling and wire construction, these can be seen in her most recent jewellery collection.
